Caring, The Heart of a Nurse: A History of Iowa Methodist School of Nursing 1901-1999; written by June Lowe Beals (1999). I picked up a copy at a used book sale and thoroughly enjoyed learning more about the school. Beals did a very good job of communicating what it was like to be a student nurse and the commitment of students to their calling.
