Vintage McCoy Pottery Flower Pot -- Pale Yellow Circles and Leaves Medium Size Planter

Great vintage McCoy flower pot with a floral (?) pattern in a pale yellow glaze. There is a drainage hole in the bottom of the pot and the saucer underneath is attached. Nice size for small spring plants. Measures 4 1/4 inches high, 4 1/4 inches diameter across mouth. Unmarked. Overall condition is good. There are some skips in the glaze and other minor molding irregularities, as is usual in McCoy and other pottery of this type (see second image). Crazing throughout and a firing crack…

Shawnee World Globe Planter

Shawnee Pottery Planter Vase World Globe Vintage | Etsy

It is marked on the bottom 'Shawnee' 'USA'. Pretty retro pastel colors and heavy, sturdy pottery that Shawnee was known for. Measures 7 inches high by 5 inches in diameter at the base. Condition is almost perfect - but, unfortunately, there is a factory firing flaw on the top edge of the opening, see…

Vintage baby & cowboy flair? LOVE

But Really, No More Baby Planters

If you've been reading my blog for a while, you probably know that my mother and I share a fondness for vintage baby planters. I've blogged about our collection before, here and here. So you'll probably understand why I was surprised last month, to hear Mom say "I think we may have too many baby planters." Too many baby planters? Is that even possible? The plan has always been for us to find a shelf unit for the bathroom and display the planters on it. Mom was looking at the wall in the…
