Sandy Creek Covered Bridge State Historic Site in Central, MO

Last time I was at the Flume the classic view of Mt. Liberty above the bridge was obscured by clouds. I was pleased yesterday that the snow showers let up long enough to see the frozen peak.

It turns out that the Harrisburg Bridge is a pretty big deal. It's the only covered bridge in Sevier County and one of four in the entire state.

Our boys love covered bridges and I've always wanted to explore New England in the fall- we'd take a week long road trip to see as many bridges and colors as we could pack in! #HipmunkBL

One of the many covered bridges in Vermont, my husband's home state. We have seen many of them when visiting family there, but never during the height of the fall colors. One day we will. I'm sure my husband, as a boy, never appriciated the beauty that surrounded him.
