These cute little creatures are just 29 – 33mm in length, and have a wingspan of approximately 170mm and weigh a tiny amount of 2 grams. (Source)

Painted Wooly bat

Painted bat (Kerivoula picta), found in Asia; Comes to measure about wing wingspan and feeds on insects. The strong colors are to fool predators, appearing to be dangerous, since they live in vulnerable places.

Pteropus  Bats of the genus Pteropus, belonging to the Megachiroptera sub-order, are the largest bats in the world. They are commonly known as the Fruit Bats or Flying Foxes among other numerous colloquial names. They live in the tropics and subtropics of Asia (including the Indian subcontinent), Australia, Indonesia, islands off East Africa (but not the mainland Africa), and a number of remote oceanic islands in both the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

.bats are amazing creatures, very maternal (have only 1 baby a year), are quite intelligent and so very necessary for our environment.  They are harmless to humans.

About of all mammal species are bats. The world’s lightest mammal is the bumblebee bat. Bats can consume insects in one night. The world's largest bat, the Rodrigues fruit bat, has a wingspan of up to 6 ft.

The perspective makes this bat look huge. We get bats flying around our neighborhood just as evening falls. They are so much fun to watch.

A bat is a nocturnal animal. It is a mammal, not a bird. There are about 2000 species of bats and this is a fruit bat which is NOT nocturnal by nature.
