En 1854 para la princesa Matilde Bonaparte, Theodore Fester realizó esté increiblemente maravilloso broche en oro y plata con diamantes.  Se conoce tiene 2.637 diamantes que pesan un total de 136 kilates. Sin contar otros 860 diamantes más pequeños. Luego de la muerte de la princesa en 1904 Cartier vendió éste broche a la señora Cornelius Vanderbilt III "Reina de la sociedad de Nueva York"
