Homeowner Lindy had a professed love of beach and coastal themes, but didn't want it over-the-top. (No draped fishnets and plastic lobsters for her.) Joanna wanted to approach the motif in nuanced ways, striving not to be too literal. Worn wooden oars from a salvage shop struck just the right note, suggesting nautical and water motifs without being overly "beachy."

Poured resin art is an awesome technique to mimic ocean and waves. The shiny application of poured resin with paint gives any surface an oceanic look. Resin is also also very strong which makes is perfect to use on a table or countertop!
