London-based interior design firm Katharine Pooley Limited re-designed the interior of this extensive four bedroom private villa in Qatar's capital city of Doha for a young family with three children. The firm is known for its exquisite attention to detail, which can be seen in all areas of the design, from the beautiful embroidery on the curtains and sofa panels to the bespoke billiards table clad in shagreen to match the doors.

In Africa the metal gold has been used for centuries by kings and royalty to craft royal regalia to wear and also intriguing symbolic objects.

The focal point of this partciular design for me was the tall wooden door which caught my attention quickly. From there, I observed the tiling in behind the sink, then the sink itself, and then the plant by the door.
