White buildings in the sun- sold
Oil, 6" x 6" I've had my eye on this building at the Providence Country Day School in East Providence for a while and finally got to paint it yesterday morning. I'm always seeing things when I'm driving that I think, I'd like to paint that, but I can't right then. I've started keeping a notebook in my car and writing them down so that when I have time to go out and paint I have a list of possibilities.

How in the world could Phil Hays have been so entirely unknown to me until this past week? Because I have only this week heard his name and seen his work for the very first time. But it turns out Philip Harrison Hays was very well know to a great many people (perhaps including you).
