ABACA fiber is considered the strongest natural fiber and is used for ropes, textile, paper and furniture making, basketry, paneling and other weaving textures. Flexible, elastic, and strong - integrating weaving materials and textures with concrete, metal and bamboo creates the Open Code essence of Kne’Kash. It begins with the selection of materials followed by research and development up to implementations that are fitted uniquely to each project. We call it LIVING MATERIALS.
Build a driftwood mirror. 1) Collect driftwood 2) Bleach and dry out if you wish to sterilize 3) Find a suitable mirror to frame 4) Pick appropriate wood for backing frame that won't show through too much (we used weathered cedar). You could simply paint a pine frame with a gray'ish paint that is slightly darker than your driftwood. 5) Place your driftwood as you see fit 6) Pin the driftwood using a brad nailer (1" or 1 1/4" brads in our case). 7) Secure frame to mirror 8) Hang 9) Enjoy!
