My next tattoo will be a hummingbird. I started collecting a few hummingbird pieces like wall decals, pillows, journals, photos, etc.

Pileated Woodpecker

This is a great picture! I haven't seen a photo of a red headed woodpecker in ages, let alone one feeding its baby peepers.

The Collared Inca (Coeligena torquata) ~ species of hummingbird found in humid Andean forests from western Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia.

Look at the lighting in this picture. It's one of those bird's who's name I'm not sure of but it seems to be the kind that lives in tropical sea climates, like Miami or Panama or Cancun.

I love planting flowers that attract God's beautiful little creatures such as butterflies & hummingbirds!

Hummingbirds in your garden: provide a small waterfall source and watch them bathe! I have had them "land" on the fan spray when watering and repeatedly slide down the spray. Spraying large leaved plants with water will be used to bathe by more than just hummers (Tanagers!)

sweet photo of a hummingbird stopping for a drink as the photographer was photographing the fountain at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, AZ. Photo by Dawn M.

Bath time!

This reminds me of when a flock of young Starlings stop in my gardens and find the birdbaths. It isn't unusual at those times to have a group of 6 to 10 birds in each bath, the drops of water flying everywhere, glistening in the sunlight.
