The Otis House, 2401 Wilshire Boulevard, c.1900-2011 Nicknamed "The Bivouac", it was designed by John Kremple for General Harrison Grey Otis, publisher and editor for the Los Angeles Times in 1898. In 1918 it became the Otis Art Institute, which remained on the land until 1997. The house itself was demolished in 1954.
