El reno, rangífero o rengífero (subespecies euroasiáticas) o caribú (subespecies americanas), (Rangifer tarandus), es una especie de mamífero artiodáctilo de la familia Cervidae cuyo hábitat originario son la tundra y taiga del hemisferio norte, aunque ha sido aclimatado con éxito en las islas subantárticas.

Distributed across Alaska in 32 different herds, caribou (Rangifer tarandus) are the only member of the deer family (Cervidae) in which both sexes grow antlers.
