35 books to read before they're 2014 movies! I think I found my 2014 reading list I did not know The Giver was going to be a movie!

This story would be appropriate for teaching sequencing concepts. Corduroy goes on a journey so students can understand the concept of beginning, middle and end.

Corduroy by Don Freeman is the first in a long series of picture books about little teddy bear. In this one he's living in an apartment store, forgotten on a shelf long enough he's lost one of his buttons. This book is part of my childhood!

AMAZING! I have read this book at least 5 times. It hits me hard ever time. Truly extraordinary. It's an easy, quick read and I would recommend this to every one!

The Giver - Read this book when I was in high school, and was really happy to reread it a bit ago.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo - Stieg Larsson // The Swedish title is "Män som hatar kvinnor," meaning "Men Who Hate Women."  And that is what the storylines boil down to - horrible men and a woman who fights back.  Full of mystery and suspense and flawed characters you have to love.  Best part?  There are 2 other books to enjoy after this one.

Love You Forever - Robert Munsch. Probably my all time favorite book from my childhood.
