Rapa Nui, the indigenous name of Easter Island, bears witness to a unique cultural phenomenon. A society of Polynesian origin that settled there c. 300 established a powerful, imaginative and original tradition .

Its still a mystery how these human like statues got there in Easter Island, Chile  Scientist and Researchers haven't discovered the reason as of year 2017. However nothing can compare with Easter Island, the most remote inhabitant piece of land in the world. This small island (164 sq km) holds the greatest number of unsolved mysteries.  There are 16 pictures to scan through.

I'd really like to go to Easter Island, but am afraid I will be disappointed in it like I was Stonehenge (cars driving very nearby....not peaceful as you see in all of the pictures)??
