Should I be embarrassed to admit that I recognized this card catalog as soon I saw this picture? Yep, it's the catalog I used in college in the 1980s.

(Have said this before: the internet and computer access to books and catalogues are amazingly wonderful, but old card catalogues had fascinating, informed, and sometimes erudite comments by librarians.
