Kalimotxo (wrong but right): equal parts coke & red wine Had this last night and it's actually surprisingly good!!! Tastes similar to sangria but less fruity! New Oberkrom Household fav!

Kalimotxo

This simple cocktail hails from the Basque Country, hence the crazy spelling. In the rest of Spain it's known as the Calimocho or the Kalimocho.

* Kalimotxo. Been drinking this for years. My German friend introduced this to me as a "Cola Red", but I hear it actually comes from Spain. Lots of people turn their noses up to the idea of this, but it's really just a red wine version of a white wine sprtizer. A great way to drink red wine on a warm summer night. And with diet soda it comes out to be a fairly low-cal drink. Adjust the ratio to your personal preference. I like more red than cola

Kalimotxo (Calimocho) - In the Basque region of Spain, this is a traditional drink served everywhere. It is pronounced 'Cali-mot-cho' and is traditionally served over ice with a slice of lemon.
