Pyrite - Spain I love the Spanish Pyrites, those groups of shiny penetrating cubes, so aesthetically pleasing sometimes like this one.

Nature creates perfect cubes of pyrite. Also known as fool’s gold, as with a lot of other minerals, its “crystal habit” encourages growth into a specific shape–and in pyrite’s instance, it’s a cube.

Pyrite otherwise known as "Fool's Gold" in reference to its deceptively similar appearance to native gold during the Gold Rush. It is shown here with characteristic striations and penetration twinning. One of my absolute favorite minerals.
