Curanto al hoyo. Typical of southern Chilean Patagonia. It makes a hole in the ground. They put burning charcoal embers stone covered with pork, beef, poultry, seafood, potatoes. Cover with plant called Nalca.
Meats, seafood and potatos -and potato pastries- are cooked in a hole warmed with hot stones, and covered with leaves from the nalca plant. A delicious treat and a very interesting experience in Chiloe and Southern Chile.
