The myth of the torito de Pucarà, or the Pucara bull, tells the story about Pucara, a drought-ridden village that decided to sacrifice a bull in order to bring rain. On its way up to be sacrificed, the bull resisted, piercing the side of a mountain with its horn, creating a flood of water from the mountainside that brought great joy to the village people.
