The wheel in this picture represents the law. It is called Vajrapani and First Five Disciples Listen to the First Sermon. He is sitting under a different tree to consider what he had understood and the bliss it produced.
This is the middle archway of the western gateway. This middle archway is the BUddha delivering a sermon. Buddha is represented her as the wheel. This symbolism refers back to his first sermon, the four noble truths when he set the wheel of dharma in motion.
The tibetan Wheel of Life . The center shows a rooster chasing a pig chasing a snake chasing the rooster representing craving, hatred and ignorance. Around it are people in the white semicircle of life and others descending the black semicircle of death.
This is at a Peace Stupa(a peace pagoda or buddhist shrine). It is that Buddha's cremated remains are divided among local rulers in Northern India. Remains splitted into eight portions. In this picture of the shrine it shows 2 buddhas on lotus thrones. "The buddha on the left's hands are in Dharmachakra mudra, the gesture of teaching"
This picture is taken by Chong Go Sunim, and his dharma brothers have been working on building this Dharma Hall. This artwork is painted. The color bands in this picture represents waves of energ radiating outward into the world from fundamental Buddha essence. The golden bat in this artwork are known as a dharma protector in Korean Buddhism.
