I feel like this is a very sucessful way of displaying a colour pallette, however I would be worried that it would look too clumpy as a wall hanging, However, I will still consider testing it out.

After looking into glitch art, I found this weave which is very similar! Weaving thin stripes of different colours looks very effective, but I would be cautious that it would become too robotic and less natural which isn't what I am trying to achieve.

If children are allowed to collect interesting bits from the ground, after their Special collection has grown, or at the end of the year, artists can use their glue skills to glue a tight arrangement onto mat board. note the difference when not using the same old 8.5x11!  If you gave them a piece that seems "too small" (the dark brown rectangle), these could be mounted nicely at home.
